About The Program

Mahidol University’s International College is a college for international students within a large Thai university. MUIC offers full degree programs and an entire curriculum to English-speaking students on a trimester system, which is comparable to the UC quarter system and works for students from both quarter and semester UC campuses. Take classes with faculty and international and local students in a country where the cost of living is significantly less than California. MUIC students find they enjoy the mandatory school uniform (black pants or skirt, white shirt), as it saves time getting ready for class and boosts their confidence. International students are encouraged to take a Thai Language and Culture course to expand their understanding of Thailand and its people. Salaya is a suburb west of the greater Bangkok metropolitan region and features farmers markets, the Thai Film Archive, and Prince Mahidol concert hall. Don’t skip the massive Phutthamonthon Park, which is built around the tallest Buddha statue and surrounded by a 400-hectare landscape containing marble temples and sculptures representing the life stages and significant events of the Buddha’s life. It’s the perfect place for cyclists and runners thanks to a shady, tree-lined 2.5 KM track.
