About The Program

Have the experience of your life in one dynamic, five-week summer. Although a whirlwind, this program offers an in-depth perspective on Argentine life and Latin American culture. Buenos Aires beckons the curious at heart. The city is beautiful, teeming with life at all hours and unlike any other place in Latin America. European architecture contrasts with colorfully painted houses and murals of tango dancing. Classes are at the Centro Cultural Borges, a cultural center just steps away from bookstores, theaters, and cafés. Living with a local deepens your understanding of class topics in Latin American pop culture, politics, film, and media.

Where you'll study

The National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF) is a leader in English-language instruction in Latin America. The university offers a wide range of disciplines with a strong focus on art, culture and human rights. Studying here is an opportunity to add a highly selective university to your transcript and résumé. With a typical admission rate at less than 30% of applications, your admission through UC is a nice advantage. The university also has eight centers across metropolitan Buenos Aires. You will take classes in the cultural center of Buenos Aires. The campus is close to the Puerto Madero waterfront district and Plaza de Mayo, a cultural square in the city.
