About The Program
Pack a full year of science credit into eight weeks in Dublin. At the University College Dublin, fulfill life sciences requirements in physics or organic chemistry. Participate in lab experiments, attend group workshops, and hone your problem-solving skills with students from around the world. Program trips to surrounding counties introduce Ireland’s natural beauty and beguiling culture. Spend a day on a traditional Irish farm where you'll make bread and enjoy Irish dancing. See the Stone of Destiny, monuments older than the Egyptian pyramids, and stunning waterfalls, lakes, and mountains. On your own, check out Dublin Castle or cycle through Three Rock Mountain for an exceptional view of the city.
Where you'll study
University College Dublin (UCD) easily qualifies as Ireland’s most international university with high numbers of students, faculty, and researchers coming from outside countries. A leader in innovative science teaching and research, UCD’s vision is to benefit the world and encourage true enlargement of mind. UCD is Europe’s largest urban campus, and like most European campuses has a mix of old and modern architecture. Located on a beautiful leafy campus in Belfield, close to Dublin’s city center, UCD is a place full of memories, myths, and legends. As an enrolled student, you’ll have access to UCD’s mix of academic facilities, research institutes, libraries and archives, enterprise space, student villages, and sports and recreational facilities.
TRIPS AND ACTIVITIES
