About The Program
The distinctive city of Cádiz is accented by a sparkling bay dotted with fishing boats. The port city’s historic center boasts stately mansions and picturesque churches. With a relaxed and easygoing demeanor, Cádiz is the perfect setting to master the Spanish language at any level. Spend your days with international classmates at the University of Cádiz near small squares and narrow, cobblestone streets. During summer evenings, enjoy friends at La Caleta beach or the promenade at La Victoria. On weekends, practice your Spanish skills while touring the region’s wineries and exploring historic villages in Sierra de Cádiz on your own.
Where you'll study
At the University of Cádiz, you’ll be taking classes at the widely recognized Center of Modern Languages. Located just two blocks from the warm Atlantic Ocean, the center is characterized by a modern, effective, and flexible approach to foreign language training. Created by the University of Cádiz to encourage foreign language learning at all levels, it offers linguistic teaching services to both the university and surrounding community. It is also certified to offer the national DELE examinations. Here you’ll have daily interaction with local Spanish speakers. The campus is located on a densely populated strip of land lined with cobblestone streets, palm trees, and seaside promenades. A colonial sea trade city in the 16th century, Cádiz is known today for its local charm, excellent seafood, clean air, and warm southern Spanish hospitality.
