Course Description
This course provides a study of the neurobiological processes that underlie both normal and pathological neurodevelopment. It examines repercussions of neurodevelopment on complex psychological processes and the relevance and feasibility of applying psychobiological theories to other areas of scientific psychology. Topics also include: thought and language; neurobiology of mood disorders; psychopharmacology; neurobiology of addictions.

Course Description
Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behavior. This course is an introduction to the cognitive and biological aspects of psychology. The course discusses topics including the formation of psychology as a discipline, an introduction to research methods and neuroscience, and an overview of some of the major fields in psychology such as perception, learning and memory, language, consciousness, and thinking. The course considers human psychology as well as the insights that can be gained from research in non-human species.

Course Description
This course on thinking and problem solving examines the basic psychological concepts and theories of human thinking, focusing on the acquisition (inductive reasoning) and application (deductive reasoning) of knowledge in order to devise strategies for problem solving. Topics covered include: the psychology of thinking; relationship between thought and other psychological processes; implicit and explicit thought processes; categorization and conceptual change; deductive reasoning; argumentation; causal reasoning and moral reasoning; inductive reasoning, judgment, and decision making; creativity and thought; teaching thinking skills.

Course Description
This course explores key theories and models of behavior change, relevant research findings that further understanding of behavior change, examples of behavior change from different disciplines, and discusses the advantages of cross-disciplinary perspectives to behavior change. The lecture content spans five different disciplines: behavioral science, epidemiology and public health, law, health informatics/computer science, and the built environment and the environment.
