Course Description
This course introduces students to the fundamentals of thermodynamic and fluid mechanic sciences in an integrated manner. Students examine fundamental concepts and definitions, as well as fluid properties and their relationships. Students also learn about the fundamental heat transfer mechanisms and become familiar with the 4 basic conservation laws. Students apply these to selected continuity problems, closed system problems, entropy problems as well as fluid statics and momentum problems, to familiarize themselves with the presented concepts and further their problem solving skills.
