12 pm - 12:30 UCEAP 101: Your Adventure Starts Here

If you’re excited about studying abroad but aren’t sure how to get started, this session offers an introduction to UCEAP. With over 40 countries and 160 programs to choose from, we will discuss the benefits of participating on UCEAP, important topics to consider as you narrow down your study abroad options, as well as the resources we offer to help you select the best program to fit your needs.

12:30 pm - 1 pm Taking the Mystery out of Academic Planning: Courses and Credit Abroad

This session will demystify the academics planning process and guide you through the steps you can take to study abroad and meet your UC goals. Learn about the best practices, tips, and resources available for you to arrange a successful study abroad experience that fits your academic needs.

1 pm - 1:45 pm Study Abroad in Northern Europe (Denmark, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden)

Discover the many options for an immersive study abroad experience in Northern Europe while taking all your courses in English. This session will introduce you to UCEAP programs in Denmark, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden, some of the happiest countries on Earth, where words like “hygge” and “fika” conjure images of a cozy fireplace and a chat over coffee. Join this session to learn about the academic and experiential opportunities that await you in Northern Europe!

2 pm - 2:45 pm Study Abroad in the Mediterranean (Italy and Spain)

Learn about the variety of opportunities UCEAP has to offer in beautiful Mediterranean countries, Italy and Spain. Whether you choose to take courses in English, Italian, or Spanish, or participate in an internship, your academic experience will be enriched with history, creativity and innovation.

3 pm - 3:45 pm Study Abroad in Africa and the Middle East (Botswana, Ghana, Israel, Jordan, Morocco, and South Africa)

Explore UCEAP’s programs in Botswana, Ghana, South Africa, Israel, Jordan, and Morocco. Whether you are interested in public health, political science, or other fields, you will find a program that fits your needs in Africa and the Middle East. Join this session to learn more about UCEAP’s program options including an opportunity to ask UCEAP staff questions in breakout rooms after the presentation.

4 pm - 4:45 pm Study Abroad in Thailand, Singapore, and Korea

Live and study in the historically and culturally rich East Asia cities with the UCEAP. Join us to learn about the 15 programs in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China that offer a wide variety of coursework in English, internship and research opportunities, Chinese language classes, and more!

5 pm - 5:45 pm Study Abroad in India and Japan

Interested in exploring UCEAP programs in Japan or India? Discover the opportunities and highlights of each location, from conducting research with top scientists to studying global issues in a multinational city to building leadership skills alongside local and international students. Bring your questions and join us in country-specific breakout rooms following the presentation.

6 pm - 6:30 pm $cholarships and $tudent Finances on UCEAP

This session will provide an overview of student finances across a multitude of UCEAP programs with tips and tricks about applying for UCEAP Scholarships to support study abroad

12 pm - 12:30 pm Lessons from abroad: a UCEAP Alumni Q&A

Join the UCEAP Alumni Team and three wonderful alumni in discussing their experiences abroad on UCEAP. Students are invited to ask questions that range anywhere from what to pack to how to handle homesickness and foreign languages! We are excited to connect interested students with these experienced returnees.

12:30 pm - 1 pm Know before you go: Wellness is a partnership

This session will help guide you in creating a wellness plan. Studying abroad in an unfamilar place and new culture can be a stressful experience. Feeling challenged and uncomfortable is normal and students should be prepared to manage these feelings. Learn how to prepare and understand your available resources in order to have a safe and successful experience.

1 pm - 1:45 pm Study Abroad in Australia and New Zealand

Broaden your world experience while advancing your major at top universities in Australia or New Zealand. Take courses alongside local students in nearly any major, and take new courses or internships unavailable at a UC campus. Plus, make new friends while participating in campus activities! This session will feature highlights of each location in Australia and New Zealand to help you find the best fit.

2 pm - 2:45 pm Study Abroad in the Americas (Barbados, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Brazil, and Chile)

Discover the diversity of opportunities offered by UCEAP in the Americas. Choose from 16 different programs in 8 countries with course options in English, Portuguese, or Spanish. Learn about the various research and internship opportunities that can help enhance your academic and career options.

3 pm - 3:45 pm Study Abroad in Central Europe (Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Czech Republic)

Enhance your academic career path and get inspired by the vibrant culture and innovations of Central Europe. This presentation will introduce you to UCEAP programs in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Czech Republic. Join this session to learn about the unique offerings at each location to help you select the program that best fits your personal, academic, and cultural goals.

4 pm - 4:45 pm Study Abroad in England, Scotland, and Ireland

Explore the vast opportunities available in the United Kingdom and Ireland. UCEAP offers summer, semester and year long programs in England, Scotland, and Ireland where you can take courses in your major, engage in research, gain professional experience in an internship, and immerse yourself in a new culture. Join this session to learn what makes each city and university distinct and which program may be the best fit for you!
