Housing
NTU students can consider both university housing options and off-campus accommodations. NTU is currently experiencing a severe housing shortage and is unable to guarantee university housing for exchange students, but there are many other housing options to explore near campus. Before departure, you will receive housing resources to help you make your housing arrangements.
Apartment
There is an extensive array of off-campus housing options in the Taipei area for a range of budgets and preferences. Students can find housing that is right for them and utilize the efficient public transportation to get to class, grab a bit to eat, shop or explore other parts of this vibrant city.

COMMUTE
Expect to utilize a combination of walking and public transportation to get to your classes which will be spread across the city depending on the courses you choose. Apartments closer to Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT/Metro) stations will be more expensive, so you can save money by selecting an apartment that is a 5-10 minute walk from a station.
Dorm
There are two dorm options: the Prince House dorms and the Yuantong Student Dormitory. The Prince House dorms are located in several buildings across the street from the university. Each complex is equipped with sports facilities, spacious common areas, a dining area, ping pong and billiard tables, and exercise facilities. The Yuantong dorm is located in the Zhonghe district of Taipei, which is approximately a 45-minute commute to the NTU campus. This dorm offers 4-person rooms with private bathrooms, shared common space, kitchen and laundry facilities, a free shuttle to the nearby MRT station, and nearby cafes and restaurants.
