About The Program

Take your business ideas to London, one of the world’s top financial centers. Designed by UC and delivered by British professors, this program has a distinct entrepreneurial focus. Examine the current state of business and work in London and learn how small ideas grow into big global companies. With junior or senior class standing, you can take an internship course and experience life as a working professional in London. Attend guided trips to the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Olympic Park, relevant businesses or charity events, business lectures, and cultural activities such as theater or football matches with fellow UC students.

Where you'll study

The London Study Center is in a beautiful, multi-story building just steps from the British Museum, Covent Garden, and Soho. The bright, beautiful classrooms are each equipped with laptops, digital projectors, and white boards. You can also use the computer lab, library, study room, and student lounge with wireless Internet throughout the building. About ten minutes from the center is the London administrative office. The admin office is adjacent to a variety of restaurants and cafés, making it a convenient stop for advising sessions and other check-ins with study center staff.

My internship journey with Raishma in London allowed me to be creative, accountable, and embrace a global perspective. My experience strengthened my passion for marketing, creating confidence in my autonomy and resilience through learning from mistakes.

Isabel Pi Pliego UC Riverside Business Administration

Through this internship and the help of my supervisors, I learned how to navigate the work culture in London and develop an entrepreneurial and growth mindset.

Joanna Siu UC Irvine Psychology

Studying abroad in London was an unforgettable experience that broadened every part of my perspective. I was surrounded by incredible art, rich history, diverse food, and vibrant culture—not just in London, but across the many countries I had the chance to explore. Academically, I deepened my passion for business through classes enriched with real-world experiences, guest speakers, and fieldwork I wouldn’t have access to on my home campus.

Arielle Ambrose UC Los Angeles Communications

Before this internship, I knew I cared about advocacy and communication, but working on projects like the podcast and writing about environmental racism showed me how powerful media and storytelling can be in raising awareness and creating change. It also made me realize how much I enjoy a collaborative, creative environment where everyone contributes to something meaningful. This experience helped me see a future I hadn’t recognized before: applying my interest in psychology in a more creative, media-driven direction through writing, producing content, or advocacy communications.

Sali Ibraheem UC Davis Psychology

This internship accelerated my growth by providing practical experience in financial analysis and algorithmic tools while building my confidence to contribute meaningfully in a new industry. Working abroad made me more culturally aware and flexible in my approach to teamwork and communication. I now feel better prepared to take on future challenges in dynamic, international financial environments.

Mina Nguyen UC Santa Barbara Economics

This internship refined my career outlook. I started with an interest in technology, but this role solidified my desire to work at the intersection of finance and AI. I discovered how much I enjoy combining data-driven insights with economic reasoning to guide investment strategies. This clarity, paired with the professional skills I developed, has given me a stronger sense of direction and confidence as I prepare for a career that blends my academic interests with real-world impact.
