Overall, I would say that this internship was helpful for me to discover what I like in a workplace and what I don’t. I think that in the first few years of my career having more structure and direction would be helpful for me to adjust to full time work. I definitely have a lot to learn so having a better outline of what my goals are and what I need to do will help me acclimate and feel more comfortable in my new positions. It also helped me understand that I enjoy working in a team more than I do independently. I enjoy being able to bounce ideas off my teammates and getting verbal feedback on what I can improve on. Doing this internship abroad was also a very unique experience because it was done in another country. It was interesting to see the different intensity of work life balance that was held here. I likely will never be able to work in another country again so observing how they function and what they value was very cool. It made me value work life balance even more than before.
