Adapting to life in Norway was among the most difficult things I had to do. Moving to a new country and not knowing a single soul was already hard, but adding to that, not knowing any Norwegian was even harder. Luckily, most people know English and speak it regularly, making the transition easier than I had anticipated. I was incredibly grateful to the University of Oslo as they set up a ‘buddy week’ where we met people within our major. This is where I met all of my friends who I look forward to visiting all over the world. [...] I know that my five months abroad has changed me and I was able to come home with tools to more effectively study and hopefully make gradual change within my community at school and at home.
