My semester abroad has undoubtedly been the most transformative experience of my college career. I spent January 2019 to May 2019 in Paris, France studying at L'institut des Sciences Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po). During these four months, I received a global education from a world-renowned institution. I took courses in French and English, which included classes like India and the World, the Ethics of War, and Images of Political Engagement. These courses not only supplemented the political science framework I developed at Berkeley, but they offered a new international perspective. In addition to my academic coursework, I also received an international education through the peers and faculty members I had the chance to interact with at Sciences Po. From Canada to Korea to Croatia, I came in contact with people from all corners of the world. They had divergent perspectives on everything, from politics to food to sports. Among the many souvenirs I brought home, I also carried with me lessons and connections that will last a lifetime.
