My experience at UNHS between the months of September to late December was most definitely formative, as my wide variety of roles and participation in projects meant I learned new, diverse skills all the time. Through my advocacy on Gaza, I learned how to use available resources and create new ones to further the narrative I wanted to bring to the audience. The variety in media was challenging, like learning how to make a podcast, but the hardest part of that experience was being frank with myself and my team. Honest communication is an essential skill that will continue to play a role in my academic and professional career. Leaving UNHS, I am most definitely a changed individual and appreciate UNHS for allowing me the space to grow and learn. It has further solidified my passion for working in the international realm, reinforced existing values, and completely allowed me to grow new skills.
