My internship experience really confirmed my interest in pursuing a career in software development, especially in areas like mobile app development and backend work. Working on the handyman app deepened my understanding of what it takes to build functional, user-friendly software, and I loved the challenge of learning new tools like React Native on my own. It made me realize how much I enjoy the process of coding, problem-solving, and collaborating on a project to create something tangible. At the same time, it opened my eyes to the importance of working with multidisciplinary teams. I found that collaborating with designers and backend engineers wasn’t just about coding; it was about understanding different perspectives and finding solutions that met everyone’s needs. This experience made me even more interested in combining my technical skills with the ability to communicate and work well with others, which I hadn't fully considered before. While I’ve always been focused on software development, this internship made me more excited about exploring roles that involve both coding and teamwork, possibly in mobile or full-stack development. It also confirmed that I want to keep learning and self-teaching new technologies, which will be important as I move forward in my career.
