My internship experience really helped confirm my interest in working in a field that combines media, storytelling, and social impact. Before the internship, I knew I was passionate about advocacy and communication, but actually being involved in projects like the podcast and writing about environmental racism showed me how powerful those tools can be in raising awareness and creating change. It also made me realize how much I enjoy working in a collaborative, creative environment where ideas are shared and everyone contributes to something meaningful. I liked being part of a team and seeing how different roles come together to produce content that informs and inspires. At the same time, the experience helped me narrow down what I want to focus on. While I’ve always been interested in psychology, this internship showed me that I want to apply that interest in a more creative or media-driven direction—whether it’s through writing, producing content, or working in advocacy communications.

Before this internship, I knew I cared about advocacy and communication, but working on projects like the podcast and writing about environmental racism showed me how powerful media and storytelling can be in raising awareness and creating change. It also made me realize how much I enjoy a collaborative, creative environment where everyone contributes to something meaningful. This experience helped me see a future I hadn’t recognized before: applying my interest in psychology in a more creative, media-driven direction through writing, producing content, or advocacy communications.
