This internship confirmed my aspiration to work in a field where I can help people understand complex topics. I believe communication is one of the most powerful tools we have, as it allows information to be spread, ideas to be shared, and information to reach those who need it most. I saw firsthand how clear, accessible communication can bridge gaps in knowledge. Writing articles that people read and find useful (whether consciously or subconsciously) reinforced my desire to combine research with communication. I want to continue producing content that informs, educates, and inspires people to engage critically with the world around them. Given the current state of the world, I believe it is essential to be fully informed, and one way I can contribute is by ensuring that the media people read or listen to is free from unnecessary jargon and truly serves the public. While I want to carry this mission into any communication-focused role, my interests particularly align with working within social media, where I can reach diverse audiences quickly and creatively, using engaging formats to make complex topics both accessible and compelling.
