This experience immersed myself into the corporate work culture. I learned the importance of teamwork with co-workers and communication across different teams. This made me realize that I enjoy the corporate life and would be interested in including that in my career aspirations. I also wasn't interested in working in social media or marketing before this internship. However, now I am more intrigued my this new, complex world and have thoughts of going towards the social media marketing or content creating route. If before I wanted a stable 9-5 desk job, now I wish to try different positions within my career field in order to really determine what I want to do. I also realized how interconnected different positions are and how important it is to know about other positions to better my performance.
This internship immersed me in Korean work culture and made me realize I genuinely enjoy the corporate life. It also opened my eyes to social media and marketing—fields I wasn’t previously interested in, but I’m now intrigued by.
