This internship was a major period of personal and professional growth for me. Living and working in Korea pushed me far outside my comfort zone and helped me grow in several ways. Being in a new country and navigating a workplace with different expectations help me become more independent and confident in my ability to take initiative, even when the environment was unfamiliar. I also learned how to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers, which helped me grow as a future health educator and advocate. This internship helped me realize that I want to work in roles that not only address public health challenges but also bridge cultural gaps and promote health equity across global communities.
