This internship was a major period of personal and professional growth for me. Living and working in Korea pushed me far outside my comfort zone and helped me grow in several ways. Being in a new country and navigating a workplace with different expectations help me become more independent and confident in my ability to take initiative, even when the environment was unfamiliar. I also learned how to communicate effectively across language and cultural barriers, which helped me grow as a future health educator and advocate. This internship helped me realize that I want to work in roles that not only address public health challenges but also bridge cultural gaps and promote health equity across global communities.

Living and working in Korea helped me become more independent, confident in taking initiative, and better at communicating across language and cultural barriers. It clarified that I want to work in roles that address public health challenges while bridging cultural gaps and promoting health equity globally.
