Course Description
This course is the continuation of module 1 (CATALAN 100). The principal objective of the course is to develop students' communicative competence to survive in Catalan in real situations. Grammatical instruction builds on syntax previously covered and is tied to real communication situations. The past tense, prepositions, and the subjunctive are covered and emphasis is placed on oral discussion of topics such as the time and schedules, quantification and description, and opinions or preferences. This Catalan language course corresponds with the A2 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

This course explores the relationship between pictorial space and the exhibition context. It analyzes aspects of pictorial representation of the work of art and the process of thinking, perceiving, and relating the elements that make up the work of art.
