Course Description

This course reviews and masters elementary Japanese grammar and sentence patterns and develops a well-balanced lower intermediate level proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students learn the 50 most important sentence patterns of the intermediate level, master 3000 basic words and 600 to 750 kanji. They read short written passages on various topics that consist of sentence patterns, grammar and new vocabulary, make speeches on topics familiar to them, and write well-organized passages.

Course Description
In modern medical technology, engineering technology for diagnosis, treatment, care, and devices have been developed and introduced by various cutting-edge technologies in recent years. Advanced medical care in the medical field greatly contributes to the importance of realization and understanding of its mechanisms and principles of the latest medical technology, equipment and devices not only among health care providers who actually use them, but also the person in charge of the operation, management and finance of medical institutions. In this course, by explaining the mechanisms and principles of medical equipment and equipment such as robots, CT equipment, and rapid diagnosis equipment one by one in an easy-to-understand manner, students acquire basic knowledge of expertise and introduce and operate such equipment.

Course Description

This course is aimed at students who have completed the beginner level. It provides a comprehensive study of the first half of the intermediate level of Japanese language: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Through in-depth reading of textbooks, the course increases one's knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and kanji, while improving their reading comprehension, writing, and expression abilities. Similarly, the course improves one's oral expression skills to explain and discuss what they have understood.

Course Description

Students will acquire basic grammar and vocabulary needed for everyday life and attending university classes in Japan, learn the four skills “listening” and “writing”.

Eligibility: A2.1 level in the CEFR/JF Standard for Japanese-Language Education (N4 in the JLPT).

Learning Objectives:

Review the expressions/sentence structures learned at the basic level (A1-A2.1); learn new expressions/sentence structures, and when, where, and how to use them, to achieve the below goals:
・ Comprehend concise conversations and monologues about familiar topics in everyday and classroom situations. 
・ If you prepare in advance, you can enumerate events, briefly describe them, tell stories, express your thoughts and feelings. 
・ You can interact with other people with little difficulty in everyday situation.

Course Description
The purpose of these courses is to develop students' communication skills of speaking through various activities focused on spoken expressions. Intermediate Japanese 1C is a course for those who have accomplished a primary course and are aiming for higher writing and reading skills.
