Course Description
This course provides a psychological study of violent behavior as well as the roots and causes of aggression, aggression and violence. Topics discussed include: the history of theories and scientific-cultural considerations of violence as a social and personal problem; characteristics and types of violence; psychological foundations of violence and violent behavior; elements of social environment and the individual in the genesis of violence; psychological factors and their role in violent action; risk assessment, prevention, and management of violence.

Course Description
This course covers the Baroque period of the 17th century and the Rennaissance through the 20th century. Students examine specific art and architectural masterpieces and are introduced to the social, political, and historical events indirectly responsible for specific artistic manifestations and movements. Topics discussed in class include cubism, surrealism, and informalism, and the works of Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Velazquez, Goya, Gaudí, Picasso, and Dali. Assessment is based on a midterm exam and a final exam.

Course Description

This course examines the main theoretical models of personality and the current criteria for establishing the normality or abnormality of behavior. It discusses normal and pathological human diversity, the advantages and disadvantages of diagnostic systems, the main clinical manifestations of psychopathology, and main areas of action of the clinical psychologist. The course provides an opportunity for practical work in personality analysis, psychopathological exploration, and therapeutic skills.
