This course provides a study of the history and theory of political psychosociology and examines the ideologies and behavior of political actors. It explores the role of historical and spatial factors on political and social processes. Topics covered include: the formation and changes of political attitudes and behaviors; role of opinion and political communication; political socialization; power and social influence; political ideology and leadership. 

The course discusses political institutions and systems of power in indigenous societies of the Americas. Topics include: power in pre-Hispanic societies-- economic and social aspects, ideology and power, centralized states, and expansionist states; transformations of indigenous power and leadership in modern America; power in hunting and gathering societies; traditional power systems in agricultural and pastoral societies; indigenous power and leadership in contemporary America.

This course examines bilingualism and bilingual people including the acquisition and learning of two languages, personality and intelligence, and variables of cognitive development. It also discusses bilingual education programs for linguistic minorities and majorities as well as multiculturalism.

This course offers an advanced study of macroeconomics. Topics include: macroeconomic modeling; formal analysis of dynamics; uncertainty in macroeconomics; fiscal and monetary policy; dynamics of debt and deficit; the role of credibility and expectations.

The course discusses the main theoretical aspects and empirical findings on learning and memory processes in humans. It examines human memory and learning from a behavioral, cognitive, and neuroscientific perspective with a special emphasis on current research trends and topics. 

This course focuses on developmental psychology including affective, emotional, and social development throughout the life cycle.  

This course explores forms and modes of adaptation of landform shaping processes to bioclimatic conditions: morphogenetic systems and morphoclimatic domains. Topics include: direct and indirect influence of climatic conditions on landform shaping; morphoclimatic organization of the Earth's surface; cold, xeric, tropical, and temperate morphoclimatic zones.

The course examines the goals and tools of public policy in the economic sector. Topics covered include: economic policy theory; economic well-being; Keynesian economics; schools of economic policy; institutionalism; public choice theory; monetarism and new classic macroeconomics; price equilibrium and employment; growth, rent distribution, and quality of life; monetary policy; fiscal policy; and supply policy. Previous study of micro- and macroeconomics is recommended.
