This course provides a critical analysis of Spanish Renaissance texts, in particular, poetry and prose of the period. Topics covered include: humanism; gender dialogic (Alfonso de Valdes); novel narration in the sixteenth century; poetic trends; Italianate poetry; literary creation and divine love; Cervantes.
