Topics in this graphic design course include: safety, hygiene, and good practices; introduction to the world of graphic communication; signage, the pictogram, the alphabet, and visual information; visual identity, sign, and signal; elaboration of iconic elements; elementary composition, theory of perception applied to visual communication; calligraphy, typography, and graphic arts; evolution of traditional concepts of graphic design to those of the 21st century.

This course offers an introduction to the field of psychology including concepts of human behavior as well as scientific research methods. It explores basic psychological processes including: attention, perception, motivation, emotion, negative and positive emotions, learning, memory, consciousness and its alterations, personality, etc. Additionally, this course discusses how scientific knowledge about human behavior and basic processes is applied to various specific fields of intervention in criminology: the study of lying, deception and simulation, ways to improve the memory of witnesses and victims, or the effect of traumatic events on the victims.

This course offers 90 hours of elementary study of Spanish language for students at a B1.1 to B2.2 level, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

This course explores essential aspects of the theory and practice of design and introduces different concepts and methods of research, work, and presentation of ideas that make the development of complex design projects possible. Other topics include: design methods and creative processes; visual perception and aspects of form; design, meaning, and communication; use and context.

This course offers a study of the general biochemical processes of signaling, the biological molecules involved, and the pathways that control essential functions –growth, differentiation, and cell death. Topics include: the mechanisms of metabolic regulation in response to extracellular signals; biochemical messengers; regulatory proteins that bind guanine nucleotides; cyclic nucleotides; protein phosphorylation and dephosphorylation; receptors-- intracellular, ionotropic, G Protein-Coupled (GPCRs), tyrosine kinase activity, enzyme-coupled, and serine/threonine kinase; regulated proteolysis-mediated signaling.  

This course offers an introduction to Galician language including pronunciation, intonation, orthophony, and spelling. It discusses standard lexicon, fundamental morphosyntactic structures, verbs, and elementary aspects of pragmatics and phraseology.

Through an interdisciplinary theoretical, methodological and historiographical analysis, this course examines key issues and representative themes, problems, and events, relating to the history of culture and thought in Latin America. Topics covered include: meeting of cultures; culture of the Baroque; the Enlightenment; insurgency and independence; modernization and progress; new trends of the twentieth century; challenges of the twenty first century; models and case studies.

This course offers a study of accounting for tourism companies. Topics include: balance sheet theory; income statements; preparation and recording of accounting information; operations and recording of commercial stocks; accounting accruals; tangible fixed assets; accounts receivable and payable; regularization and closing of accounts.

Visual-Audio-Oral Spanish II is a comprehensive language competence training course taught by foreign teachers from Spanish-speaking countries. The course is taught in small classes, focusing on training in language application and intercultural competence, cultivating their spirit of cross-cultural thinking and discernment, and helping them to independently carry out communication activities in the Spanish language.

This course offers an introduction to the field of political science. Topics include: politics and political power; forms of political organization; democracies and dictatorships; state structures; parliaments and political representation; government systems; culture and political socialization; actors in the political system; political and electoral behavior; public policies; challenges of politics in today's world.
