Internship Type

During my internship at a social enterprise focused on healthy aging, I helped design and lead classes for seniors and developed partnerships—including a proposal for a peer-to-peer teaching program that supports both income generation and community engagement. This role gave me a unique window into how neuroscience-informed interventions—exercise, cognitive stimulation, and social connection—are applied in real-world programs, including those evaluated with tools like the MoCA and ICA. I gained firsthand exposure to how community-driven initiatives promote cognitive health, social integration, and overall well-being among older adults, reinforcing my belief that addressing aging-related challenges requires interdisciplinary, scalable solutions grounded in lived experience.
