About The Program

Between Camden Town, a haven of counterculture, and the entertainment district of Soho is a university with a long and proud history of disruptive thinking. University College London (UCL) is one of Britain’s top universities and the most radical. It was the first uni in UK-England to welcome students of any religion or social background. It was also the first in the country to welcome women to a university education. UCL has received awards that recognize their progressive work practices. Craft your full-time course schedule based on your academic needs just like back home and attend class with local Brits.

Where you'll study

Forward thinking, modern, and unique among traditional British universities, the University College London (UCL) is a special place to live and study. The campus is a regular location choice for Hollywood films. Situated in the heart of London, you won’t have to walk far to see one of London’s historic green squares. Originally built as private garden spaces for aristocrats, the historic Fitzroy Square, Gordon Square, and Tavistock Square are now populated entirely by students—especially on sunny days. UCL has its very own English pub, the Huntley, which hosts social events and offers student discounts. Don’t miss the chance to study indoors at least once in the spectacular Donaldson Reading Room in the Main Library. If you enjoyed the movie Inception, a film by a UCL alumnus, stop by the Flaxman Gallery where some of the scenes were shot.

My architecture internship in London launched me into a global network of researchers and artists aimed at making spaces in alternative ways. I am very grateful for this opportunity, which would have been impossible without my proximity to the Floating University that UCEAP allowed.
