Housing

Prior to departure, you will find and arrange your own housing for the duration of the program.  The location and type of accommodation you choose is a personal decision based on your preferences, lifestyle, and budget.  Plan to secure housing three to four months in advance of the program. 

 

Apartment

Many exchange students opt to live in share houses surrounding the university. Similar to a shared apartment, a share house is an independent living space where you may share bathrooms or kitchens, for example. This is a common living arrangement for young working professionals in Australia.

Commute

Your commute to class will vary depending on the location. Commute times could be 10 minutes to an hour by public transportation.

Dormitory

UTS offers one dorm option for exchange students. You can apply for either a two or a six-bedroom apartment with a common living room, kitchen and bathroom facilities, or a studio apartment which includes a self-contained area including bedroom, bathroom and kitchen facilities.
