About The Program

Develop your engineering research skills while studying in one of Europe's leading innovation regions. This summer program is designed for engineering students seeking hands-on international research experience in an immersive academic environment. Work alongside faculty at Tecnun, the University of Navarra's School of Engineering, and its affiliated research center, CEIT, where you'll contribute to ongoing research projects aligned with your academic background and interests. Research opportunities span biomedical engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical engineering and materials, industrial organization, data science and artificial intelligence, transportation and energy, and ICT, water, and waste systems. Beyond the laboratory, you'll experience life in San Sebastián, a vibrant Basque city known for its exceptional quality of life, innovative industries, and rich cultural traditions. Whether you're preparing for graduate study or launching your engineering career, the combination of faculty-supervised research, international collaboration, and immersion in one of Europe's most dynamic technology ecosystems will strengthen your technical, professional, and intercultural skills.

WHERE YOU'LL STUDY

You'll conduct research at Tecnun, the School of Engineering at the University of Navarra, and CEIT, its affiliated applied engineering research center. Faculty and researchers work side by side in shared laboratories and research facilities, creating an environment where classroom learning, engineering research, and industry collaboration intersect. Depending on your research placement, you may work alongside teams focused on areas such as advanced manufacturing, materials engineering, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, or communications technologies. Tecnun has two locations in San Sebastián, including one within the city's technology park, where engineering laboratories and research groups collaborate on projects with industry partners.
