Academic culture

Instruction usually occurs between 10 am and 3 pm, Monday to Thursday, with Friday remaining free for personal study. The method of teaching varies course-by-course. Read the profile of your chosen course for further details.

Some courses include field trips, and as a QMUL student, you are welcomed into places and speak to experts that even most Londoners don’t normally have access to. Field trips take place within class hours but may also be scheduled during the evening or on weekends. You are expected to study independently outside of class hours.

Assessment components may be essays, presentations, in-class tests, or a combination.

Grades

You will earn direct UC credit and grades for all coursework. Grades for this program are usually available in early to mid-October.

If you intend to put yourself on your campus degree list for graduation while on UCEAP, consult your campus advisors before departure about possible delays in the degree verification process.
