Housing

You will live the historical quarter of Syracuse (or Siracusa) on the island of Ortigia (or Ortygia). A walk around the perimeter of the island is the best way to get your bearings. Much of the island's charm is found in wandering down ancient, narrow lanes past crumbling or lovingly restored baroque palaces and churches. By contrast, the student apartments have a more modern feel and are equipped with conveniences like air conditioning. Some apartments have a small balcony and it's generally a very short walk from your residence to the waterfront.

Apartment

You’ll share an apartment with several other students in the Ortigia or Neapolis district. All apartments have kitchens, large common areas, and laundry facilities. The local urban landscape is well-known for having a reasonably priced cafe on every street corner.
