Course Description

This course focuses on the molecular biology of cancer. We discuss in detail topics such as biology and genetics of cells and organisms, nature of cancer, tumor viruses, cellular oncogenes, growth factors, receptors and cancer, cytoplasmic signaling circuitry programs, tumor suppressor genes, pRb and control of the cell cycle clock, p53 and apoptosis, cell immortalization, maintenance of genomic integrity. Experimental approaches are also introduced in the context of primary research articles. Cell biology and molecular biology at undergraduate levels are essential prerequisites. Topics include Biology and genetics of cells and organisms, Nature of cancer, Tumor viruses, Cellular oncogenes, Growth factors, receptors and cancer, Cytoplasmic signaling circuitry programs, Tumor suppressor genes, etc.

Course Description
This course examines sexual behavior and offers discussions through psychological and biological perspectives and evolutionary points of view. Through this process, the course provides an understanding about the opposite gender or people with a different sexual orientation. It also discusses how to communicate with and have a good relationship with different genders.

This course explores the different factors that influence people to choose a certain career. It also discusses what career counselors need to do to help direct this search. The course examines the definition and procedure of career counseling, how counseling systems are different from the one in other countries, how psychology affects people's decision for their career, factors that concern men and women the most when they choose a job, and the role and responsibility of a counselor.
