This course instructs students on the history and understanding of choral music and vocalization through appreciation of choral music masterpieces. 

This course provides an integrated approach to modern genetics, which includes molecular genetics; genomics; information science; molecular evolution, and classical genetics. This course covers current genetics and a new viewpoints on the molecular basis of life.

This course provides an introduction to the methods of inquiry that are appropriate to the study of politics. While the material introduces fundamental topics in research design and choice of methods that are relevant to both quantitative and qualitative research, this course emphasizes quantitative methods and provides an introduction to basic data analysis. 

This course examines some of the influential schools of thought which arose from pre-Han (before 206BC) China. Topics include pre-Confucian legal and political institutions of China; Confucian vision of law, ethics and human conduct; continuations and variations of the Confucian system; legalist ideas of law, human nature and statecraft; Daoist outlook on human-beings, nature, and Universe; ideas of Yin and Yang; creation of state orthodoxy in Han empire; and the limits of law, language and human understanding.

This course provides an introduction to basic concepts of artificial intelligence. The course addresses heuristic search algorithm and knowledge reasoning of symbolic AI (Artificial Intelligence), a traditional AI approach. In addition, the course addresses theories about computational AI, such as genetic algorithms, and neural network learning, and how they can be applied in each field. The course also studies the application fields of artificial intelligence technologies.

This course exposes undergraduate students to the fundamentals of qualitative and quantitative research methods in sociology. It discusses conceptualization; operationalization; variables; hypotheses, and sampling. The course also covers types of research as well as fundamentals of qualitative and quantitative data analysis.

This course introduces the main aspects of contemporary Korean society, including those pertaining to the family, gender, education, population, religion, economy, and popular culture. The course specifically focuses on topics and issues that figure prominently in the lives of the Korean people, such as the persistence of extended families, the rise of Christianity, education frenzy, population aging, low fertility rate, increasing ethnic diversity and multiculturalism, rapid industrialization, Seoul-based urbanization, and the rise of Hallyu as a global phenomenon. Each of these issues will be examined through sociological, historical, and comparative perspectives. 

The course covers introductory linear algebra, focusing on the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a matrix, orthogonality, and properties of positive definite matrices. The eigenvalues and eigenvectors are considered from their definitions to their applications. Other topics include orthogonal projections, the Gram-Schmidt process, and the inner product space. 

This course seeks to define media and instructs on its modalities The course also discusses the relationship of media with power, as well as its relationship with consumers and producers. The course introduces students to thinking about what constitutes a medium, and includes discussions on the issue of AI.

This course provides an introduction to advanced disciplines and essential information about gene expression, gene regulation, cell division, and cell signal transduction.
