This course covers fixed income securities, the mechanisms of domestic and international debt markets, fixed income instrument analyses, pricing, risk behavior, the security design, debt instruments with complex structures, investment strategies and risk management of debt portfolios. It addresses the institutions and trading, arbitrage in the bond markets, volatility of bonds, valuation, and different types of bonds including corporate bonds. The course also presents an understanding of risks in investing in bonds specifically and other fixed income bond-like securities. It also teaches the basics of usage and valuation of some common fixed income derivatives. The course presents new and innovative instruments and issues in the fixed income market.

This course covers the basic concepts and theories in technology and innovation management to enable the organization’s strategic destinations, covering stages from fuzzy front end to strategy execution. This course provides students with different schools of thought, approaches, and techniques on innovative idea generation through group discussions and workshops such as Design Thinking (Stanford d.school), Human Centered Innovation Workshop.

The central theme of the course is distribution channel systems for traditional and modern trade, their roles, management constraints, and integration into the marketing strategy. The content includes analysis of dynamic market factors, design and distribution of channels for effective and efficient management distribution networks, and strategic deployment of multi‐channel marketing and omnichannel decisions to gain competitive advantages. The course also covers the roles, behavior of channel members, dimensions of channel power, management of channel conflict, channel incentive programs, coordination of channel relationships, and trade marketing, developing, controlling, and evaluating a distribution channel in consumer and business markets.
COURSE DETAIL
This course examines Thailand through the perspective of its military experience from past to present. It introduces students to various aspects of Thailand within the realm of conflict from its military history to its strategic culture. As such, the course adopts a multidisciplinary approach, encouraging students to look at Thailand from a range of disciplines whether it is history, politics, or international relations. Though it may be helpful, no prior knowledge or experience will be assumed. Students are expected to develop the ability to manage and analyze potentially complex and challenging issues through the use of evidence and theories, and be able to communicate them in both oral and literary manner.

The course explores an integrated approach to marketing communications. It examines concepts, principles, and methods of marketing promotion and communication. Specific focus is placed on developing an integrated marketing communications plan based on consumer understanding (outside-in approach) and an understanding of the brand and brand positioning. Topics include media planning, media selection, testing and evaluation, and communication and marketing strategies.

This course provides an introduction to the importance of life cycle systems perspectives in understanding major challenges and solutions to achieving more sustainable societies in this changing world. Students learn about the relationship between mankind and the environment in the context of energy and resource use, consumption and development, and environmental constraints. Furthermore, an examination of social conflict and change from the life–cycle perspective is used to develop an understanding of potential solution pathways for sustainable lifestyle modifications.

This course covers the foundation of international political economy, theories and approaches in international political economy, changes in global political and economic orders, power relations and bargaining processes in international politics and their impact on allocation and distribution of economic resources, and transnational factor and resource mobilization.
