During my internship at a startup in the beauty/lifestyle space, I served as the sole web development intern, building a full-stack website to streamline partnerships with influencers—from enrollment and product shipping to tracking content progress for internal teams and brand partners. My days focused on researching new web tools, implementing and debugging pages, integrating databases and user roles, and syncing with leadership to align features with business needs, ultimately learning to manage a ground-up build independently in a fast-moving environment.
One of the most rewarding feelings in life is realizing that I enjoyed completing a task that demanded my time, dedication, and rigor. Every week during my study abroad, I looked forward to going into the office and making progress on my project. This helped reinforce my passion for computer science, giving me the confidence to continue to learn more.
