While studying at my host university, the National Autonomous University of México I was able to build upon my film production techniques and explore an aspect of film that I had never had access to. I took an animation class, which built a strong yearning for a career in animation, one that I wasn’t previously privy to but am largely excited for where this new goal will take me. I was also given the opportunity to do an internship at the Cineteca Nacional de México, a cultural place that provides people the access to México’s cinema culture as well as international films. I was able to aid the producer of audiovisual information, helping film and photograph film events as well as helping out with their Disney/Pixar gallery that they were temporarily hosting. My work at this internship allowed me to execute my technical skills within a professional setting and helped me push myself when it came to my communication skills in a language that I am not used to working in a professional environment.
