Workshop: A Beginner's Guide to UCEAP
Thursdays at 2–3 pm | Pre-register or register as you join
In this interactive workshop, you will learn how to
- Define your goals and identify programs that meet your academic needs.
- Navigate resources to make informed decisions about academic planning, finances, budgeting, scholarships, cultural awareness and identity.
- Prepare to apply to UCEAP.

These are casual sessions for students in the pre-application and application phase. Note that there may be other students in the session with you, but you may learn something from the questions they ask and you might ask something they hadn’t even thought of yet!
If you have general questions or would just like to learn more about UCEAP, swing by at a time that is convenient for you. If you have questions about programs in a specific country, you can drop in with the country-specific advisor.

As you explore programs and prepare to apply, you can schedule a one-on-one virtual advising appointment to chat with a UCEAP advisor. You can schedule a regional appointment if you’re considering programs in a specific region, or a general advising appointment if you just want to learn more about UCEAP.

Connect With Your UC Campus Advisor
UC Campus Study Abroad Advisors are your main contact for campus-specific items related to your study abroad plans, including:
- UC campus requirements to study abroad
- UC campus portals and systems
- Financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and who to contact at your UC campus Financial Aid Office - They will inform the Financial Aid Office of your participation in UCEAP
- UC major/minor/degree requirements, and who to contact in your UC campus college/department for academic advising
- UC campus registration - They will inform your UC campus Registrar's Office of your participation in UCEAP
- UCSHIP/UC campus insurance requirements and waivers
- UC campus student health services, and how to obtain a UCEAP health clearance
- Petitioning UCEAP courses to count for major/minor/GE/breadth requirements at your UC campus, and who to contact at your UC college/department
