About The Program
Combine hands-on chemistry research with intercultural learning on Spain's Mediterranean coast. At the University of Alicante, join small research groups working directly with faculty mentors in university laboratories. Choose from research areas including analytical, organic, inorganic, and biochemistry while developing both technical skills and cross-cultural communication abilities. This program stands out for its systematic integration of international students into faculty-led research teams. Working in groups of two to three students, you'll contribute to active research projects while gaining exposure to experimental techniques and applied scientific inquiry. All research activities are conducted in English, making this program accessible to students at different levels of Spanish proficiency. Beyond the laboratory, Alicante offers a perfect setting for exploring Spanish culture and daily life. The combination of scientific research and cultural immersion helps develop skills valued by graduate programs and global employers, particularly in science and health care fields. Whether you're new to research or building on previous laboratory experience, this program provides meaningful research experience in an international setting.
