Housing

In London, you will stay in a local apartment arranged by the program coordinator. In Paris, you will be housed in either a single room in a shared student apartment or a single room in a studio apartment in the residence hall. Exact location of housing will not be provided until your arrival overseas.

Apartment - London

London apartments are centrally located and you’ll share the space with one or two other UC students. Your flat will have a shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom.

An average commute from apartment to classes is less than 30 minutes by public transportation (bus).

Apartment or Residence Hall - Paris

You will live in single occupancy rooms in shared apartments or in studio apartments. Rooms and studios are furnished with a bed, a closet or armoire, an area for toiletries, sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets for each student. All student apartments have internet access.

Apartments do not include air conditioning. Bathrooms (toilets and showers) are small and the number of bathrooms in shared apartments varies depending on the number of bedrooms. You will need to provide your own soap, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. Kitchen facilities include a small stove-top, refrigerator, dishes, and basic cooking utensils. You must provide their own dish soap, dish towels, and paper towels. Apartments will have desks. Apartment buildings may not have elevators, and apartments will be located between the 1st (one floor up from the ground floor) and 6th floors.

Each apartment is unique and will vary in size and condition and apartment buildings will vary in proximity to your classes. Students should keep in mind that living standards in Europe may be different from those you may be accustomed to, and apartments are often smaller and older than what you may have expected.
