About The Program

In the beautiful Eternal City, surrounded by seven fabled hills, the entrepreneurial spirit that fuels Italian family businesses is alive and well. Explore how Italian food, fashion, and art has evolved, or study how Italians are adapting to climate change through environmental policy and sustainable products. An Italian language and culture course is available for students with no previous Italian language study. Electives are in English. All courses include site visits and extensive walking. You can also take a day trip to Castello and Lago di Bracciano, with a guided tour of a Renaissance castle and lunch by one of the prettiest volcanic lakes in northwest Rome.

Where you'll study

The study center in Rome is located in the historic heart of the city, a short walk from one of the most beautiful and beloved piazzas. The Piazza Navona is one of the most outstanding squares, which features Bernini’s Fountain of Rivers at its center. The center serves as your home base for onsite lectures, language instruction, and meet-ups for guided tours. Within the center, you’ll find all the resources and support you need during your time in Italy. The resource desk is open for questions, program information, and travel advice. Relax in the comfortable lounges and catch up on email or chat with others on your program. Find your print news in the library—and when the beauty and art of the city inspires your inner artist, the studio space offers a place where you can be creative.

As I return home, I reflect on my internship as a challenge that prepared me for my career plans in advertising and marketing. I know that this experience has made me a competitive candidate for transformative positions in my selected industry. I plan to bring my appreciation for and experience in another culture to any future roles.

My internship abroad opened my eyes to the world of digital marketing in various cultural contexts. I'm grateful for the technical skills I acquired as well as the life lessons I learned. This internship added a more intimate and immersive aspect to my time abroad that I will forever cherish.
