You'll stay in well-appointed apartments in with a shared roommate near Mount Maunganui. The housing for this program is arranged for you, so there's no work for you. The apartments lie along Mount Maunganui's stunning main beach and the within walking distance of the beautiful harbor of Pilot Bay.
Hostel
You'll share a spacious apartment with one other student on the same program. Each apartment has a table and chairs, a flat-screen television, a small refrigerator, a tea kettle, and heaters. Each apartment has a kitchen, shower, and more. Each apartment has crockery, cutlery, and linen. Enjoy the comfort of an apartment on the ocean while you focus on your marine science studies.

Commute
The average ride to campus is a 20-minute bus ride, and it's 25 minutes to the Coastal Marine Field Station. After you arrive, you'll purchase a local bus card at a discounted student rate that can be used throughout the region.
