Whatever your major, this program delivers a full English university experience. In class with students from around the world, you’ll have an enriching cultural experience as you earn UC credit. Courses span a range of disciplines with classes small enough for personalized attention. Whatever the subject, from creative writing to medical practice, you’ll work with small student groups. Outside of class, explore the local area with free Friday excursions. See the monoliths of Stonehenge and Harry Potter Studios. On weekends, tour a moated castle built for an English knight and hike the white-chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters. Or, get your Shakespeare on in London's theater district, just an hour away.
Where you'll study
Come to the University of Sussex to experience one of the most exciting campuses in the UK, with distinguished faculty, well-equipped labs, and an excellent library. Known for its political and social awareness, the University of Sussex is a leading research university in the United Kingdom, boasting one of Britain's most beautiful campuses. The university has a wide range of specialist lab facilities where you can participate in research on any subject. The Keep holds collections like the papers of Leonard and Virginia Woolf. Media, film, and journalism students can use the green screen, video cameras, and sound recording equipment in their own studio and editing suites. Just an hour outside London, the campus is surrounded by rolling green countryside near Brighton. Locally known as London by the Sea, Brighton offers a vibrant nightlife, arts festivals, al fresco lifestyle, and great shops.
