Where you'll study

The University of Bordeaux has a culture of nurturing talent, innovation, and career outcomes. As UCEAP’s original student exchange since 1962, the University of Bordeaux has continued to refine its international strategy. It collaborates with universities around the world to develop programs taught in English and other languages. As one of only three universities in France with an Initiative of Excellence, or IdEx program, the university is driving a variety of globally important research challenges and projects. As an international visitor, this means more opportunities to collaborate with locals and access training that will carry you to a rewarding career. The university is made up of a number of separate entities organized together at one of the largest campuses in Europe.

Experiencing a culture abroad was unlike anything I have experienced before. The socio-political culture of France inspired me to pursue a second major in politics. The involvement and participation of the average citizen was incredible. I witnessed historic events firsthand. Study abroad changed the way I view politics in America and I plan to pursue a career in international relations.
