About The Program

Want to become a social innovator? A leader in global politics? Or a master of multicultural communication? Develop a global outlook, delve into the Japanese lifestyle, and hone your Japanese language skills at Waseda University. A private research university, Waseda University has an open feel that offers a serene break from Tokyo's dense cityscape. English-taught courses are available in Japanese studies, Asian studies, political science, journalism, history, art history, legal studies, and education. Outside of class, explore Tokyo, the gateway into the character of Asian society.

Where you'll study

Waseda University is a private school in central Tokyo that puts a high priority on studying abroad. It actively recruits international students and expects Japanese students to study abroad. International students include nearly one-third of Waseda’s student body, creating an environment where people of many cultures and backgrounds exchange ideas. The Center for International Education offers field trips, cultural events, language partners, and tutorial help. When it’s time to study, spread out your books in the Tokorozawa Library, which features relaxation spaces, open-air commons, and group study areas overlooking the green campus landscape.

My internship improved my self-confidence. Becoming one who can face people and speak what's on my mind is something I attribute to my internship and experience studying abroad. Filming requires a lot of coordination between people with different tasks in production, and communicating confidently will apply to any job throughout my career.
