This course is an introduction to Psychological First Aid (PFA) in order to assist populations in the aftermath of a critical event. Topics include: aims and application of PFA; patterns of response; PFA for children, teenagers, and adults; psycho-education skills; self-care techniques for responders.

This course offers a study of elementary Spanish equivalent to the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Students who successfully complete the course can deal with simple, straightforward information and can express themselves in a limited manner in most common situations in daily life.
