This course studies medieval literary production in what is now considered Spain. This course explores the most representative works of the Middle Ages and their significance in Spanish literature.

This course explores the various processes of participation and the cultural, economic, political and social contributions that Latinos of African origin in Latin America. Topics include: main theoretical methodological trends; Africans and Afro-descendants in historical perspective; contemporary Afro-descendant peoples and communities; Afro-descendant populations-- social subjects and political actors.

This course examines approaches to public administration in order to gain a better understanding of how government is exercised today. Topics include: processes of power in an open society; political participation, citizen representation, and government processes; management of political transitions; comparative experiences of political regimes; public administration in the process of globalization; imperatives of good governance and environment responsibility.
