Course Description
This course covers the fundamental principles of operations and maintenance (O&M) of facilities such as organization of O&M team, O&M planning, execution and management, O&M of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems and O&M management systems. The course examines theories and industry-practices and how they impact operations and maintenance management of spaces for various facilities. How this is developed into a viable working model for the business and supports the business. Emphasis is put on the co-ordination of the physical workplace with the people and the work of the organization. Case studies and issues arising from operations and maintenance are analyzed and explained.
