This course studies the literature, art, history, and politics of Classical Athens. It looks at a variety of myths that were popular in Classical Athens, the contexts and mediums through which these myths circulated. It discusses the relationship between these stories, democratic ideology, and the Athenians' understanding of their history.

This course introduces students to core material in the areas of psychology broadly defined, including an introduction to research methods in Psychology. The course is intended for students who are visiting from overseas universities. It can serve as an introduction to the field for students taking the course as part of their psychology degree at their home university, or as an outside subject in another degree program.

This is a calculus-based physics course with a laboratory component for international summer students. This is the first of a two-course sequence. This intensive course introduces fundamental concepts of physics in the areas of: dynamics & relativity; fluids, waves & sound; heat & thermodynamics; and geometrical & wave optics as a foundation for more advanced studies in Physics and applications in other areas of science. Competence in calculus as well as algebra, geometry, and trigonometry is essential.  This course provides a solid understanding of main physics topics and introduces methods of experimental physics. It provides a good foundation of basic physics for aspiring Physicists as well as being applicable to other areas of science and technology. 

This is an introductory course in French for students with no prior knowledge of the language. The course, which enables students to reach the A1.1 level in the Common European Framework of Reference for languages, introduces the four fundamental skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) with a focus on communication. Students also develop some awareness of French culture.
