Course Description
This course uses "creative drama teaching" into the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, and the rewritten Chinese folk tales are used as learning materials. The impromptu performances and discussions provide oral training opportunities on the basis of understanding Chinese folktales and communicating Chinese folk culture knowledge, timely capturing the rich and vivid oral expressions in folktales, and transforming stories into life experiences. The culture of the story becomes a resource. At the same time, by extending reading, the students' reading capacity is expanded, and the performance of Chinese folklore in folktales is further felt. By arranging the task of rewriting and continuing to write folktales, students are encouraged to think and improve their Chinese writing ability. Although this course improves oral and written ability as one of the teaching objectives, the focus of teaching is not on vocabulary, but on the ability to use Chinese to tell stories, to attract listeners, and to interact with the audience.
