Course Description
This course provides a critical study of the main aspects of power and social imbalances and inequalities, as well as the mechanisms of discrimination and oppression, particularly those derived from economic and labor, gender, ethnic and cultural relations. It looks at aspects of social conflict, the mechanisms of power and authority, of domination, exploitation and alienation from the perspective of the social sciences.

Course Description
The course explores questions regarding intersectionality, decolonial theory, and queer theory. It personalizes these themes through an examination of experiences and contexts through cultural analysis and intervention or creative projects outside of the classroom. The class also problematizes the various institutions of hegemony, and grapples with the various critiques and ways forward proposed by both Latin American and Western theorists and connects these back to the Mexican context. Course Description
The course provides a study of geographical and geopolitical understanding of the current world at various scales: global, regional, and local. It examines the theoretical and conceptual foundations of regional geography, main explanatory theories of the politico-territorial structure and conflicts of today's world, and the processes of regional division and differentiation at different scales, particularly as it relates to Europe. The course also analyze some representative state and regional actors in terms of the uneven global distribution of power, namely the United States, China and Africa. Finally, it discusses bases and territorial conflicts of the Spanish "State of Autonomies." Students are expected to have completed previous coursework in geography.

Course Description
This course provides a critical analysis of women's participation in the revolutionary movements of the southern cone. It examines the contributions of women in these different movements and the changes that they wanted for their respective societies. Specifically, the course looks at the contributions of militant women in the movements and revolutionary parties in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay between the 1960s and the 1990s.

This course provides a study of the basic theoretical-conceptual elements, the practical mechanisms and the methodological tools of international human rights law.
