This course offers a study of the grammatical categories and syntactic groups of the Spanish language. It examines syntax of the simple sentence, with special attention to analysis of syntactic structure and functions.

This course examines the foreign relations of Spain. Topics include: Spain's foreign relations-- a complex model of relations whose core is formed by foreign policy; legal and political aspects of Spanish foreign policy-- bodies, powers, preparation, application, and control instruments; Spain's coordination with, autonomy from, and subordination to European foreign policy; key issues on the Spanish foreign agenda; perceptions-- Spain's view of the world and the foreign image of Spain.

The course discusses the intersection between human and animal based on historical cases and zooethical discussions. It explores the different ways of understanding the continuity and contiguity of animals and humans in various periods and historical cases; especially, but not exclusively, since the definitive establishment of Darwinism. This course also analyzes the zooethical dimensions related to carnivorous nutrition, bull fighting, pets, zoos, and other institutions of human/animal interaction or between human and non-human animals.
